Areola Reduction Las Vegas
Women that are unhappy with the size and/or shape of their areola, may choose to undergo an Areola Reduction. Areola Reduction is done by removing some of the pigmented areola, either by an incision around the outside of the areola or by an incision around the base of the nipple. A few reasons why the areola may be enlarged are:
- genetic predisposition
- undergoing weight loss while having large breasts
- stretching of the areola due to breastfeeding
- breast enlargement
The reduction may result in a slight breast lift and may also produce irregularities at the incision line if the reduction was significant.
